Learning through Play

Learning through play is one of the vital ideologies for early years learning. The most important techniques young children learn are playing, being with other people, being active, identifying new experiences, talking to themselves, communicating with others, dealing with physical and psychological challenges, showing how to do something new, practicing skills, and having fun. Diverse cultures and groups inspire children to play in different ways. Diverse age groups have different intellectual competencies. A child's nervous system is subjective to his or her development through research, imagination, problem-solving, and verbal communication that occurs during role-playing.

6. How do kids learn during a play session?

For young children, play is often a whole-body movement that helps them improve abilities they need later in life. Running, climbing, rolling, dancing - these actions help develop muscles and adjust motor skills. Kids also shape their mental and emotional muscles by creating sublime fantasy worlds with a set of instructions that control the game environments. Children have the opportunity to ask questions, answer problems, work together and do structured research.

What do children learn while playing?

Children learn about themselves-Dramatic gaming experiences are one of the first ways to learn about their children, their interests, and abilities. They are experimenting with role-playing and working to do so.

Children learn many types of skills- Role-playing events require progressive thinking approaches, communication, and community skills. Through fake games, children know how to negotiate things, consider other people's points of view, transfer knowledge from one situation to another, show contentment, feel the balance between their ideas with others, cultivate and act upon an idea, explore representation, present and listen to opinions and ideas, and distribute Tasks, roles, and production of various information and ideas. This type of play also fosters enthusiasm and awareness of learning and supports children to understand that others have different opinions, needs, and purposes than their own. These types of kids learning games also contribute to early learning skills. 

However, for children, play is more powerful than many parents think. It is, in fact, the key to learning. Researchers and educators around the world have found that games can enrich learning and develop basic skills such as questioning, expression, experimentation, and teamwork. However, how play and learning are related is not as easy as it might seem at first glance. Extensive knowledge is needed to clarify the relationship between playing and learning simultaneously. With that foundation in place, it's the adult's experienced contacts that will help children move on to learn headlong.
